College of Pharmacy at University of organized a seminar about the stem cell therapy and its relationship to regenerative medicine . The seminar was introduced by assistant professor Dr. Rawa Salem Hameed The seminar discussed and explained the stem cell therapy for many incurable diseases such as cancer, Alzheimer's, diabetes and others, as cell therapy is considered one of the promising sciences in the field of medicine and many research works were directed towards developing this field because of its great importance The seminar also clarified the different types of stem cells, such as neural stem cells, which are used in the treatment of diseases of the nervous system such as spinal cord injury, by implanting them at the site of injury for the purpose of replacing damaged nerve cells
