The Continuing Education Center at the University of Basra, in cooperation with the Faculty of Management and Economics, held a workshop entitled "The Impact of Changing the Value of Money on the Economic Feasibility of an Investment Project".
The workshop aims to clarify the importance of monetary value in the evaluation of investment projects, and the impact of changing the purchasing power of the monetary unit on the feasibility indicators.
The workshop, which was lectured by Dr. Mazen Sultan Aziz and Sattar Jabara Karim, included the concepts of discounting, payback period, present value of cash flows, discounted profitability index, and internal rate of return.
