The college of science at the University of Basrah organized a seminar on predicting the best groundwater storage sites in the Zubair - Safwan area. , The seminar presented by student Hoda Saleh Abdul Amir aimed to predict the best possible locations for storing usable groundwater in the Zubair - Safwan area. The workshop included the use of artificial intelligence techniques, specifically deep learning models, in predicting the best suitable sites for usable groundwater storage in the Zubair-Safwan area. It also reviewed the environmental and hydrological factors affecting water storage, such as altitude, amount of precipitation, land uses and other factors that were analyzed to develop an accurate model for assessing groundwater storage. The results of the study showed that the areas located in the southern and southeastern parts of the Zubair-Safwan area have suitable characteristics that make them areas of accumulation and drainage of groundwater.
