The College of Science at the University of Basrah organized a seminar entitled (Investigate the effect of nicotine on biofilm formation by bacteria isolated from rhinosinusitis patients) by the graduate student Gufran Ali Fairuz. The study aims is detecting the effect of nicotine on bacterial cell growth and the formation of biofilm with different concentrations of nicotine and included the dangerous of smoking on human health by increasing biofilm formation and cell growth and increases probability for chronic disease and treatment resistance . and the study was recommended (more studies about biofilm and the elimination of causing bacteria and also more researches about environmental pollution and its effect on human microbiomes especially in Basrah city.)
