The Continuing Education Center at the University of Basrah organized a specialized training course on the Unified Accounting System.
The course aimed to familiarize participants with the fundamentals of preparing final accounts in accordance with the Unified Accounting System, in a way that meets the needs of the private sector and profit-oriented government enterprises, while ensuring the provision of accurate financial data in line with the principle of accounting disclosure.
The course, delivered by lecturer Farah Asaad Jumaa, covered the main accounts, the accounting guide, applied treatments, and the preparation of final accounts, in addition to short assessments.
The course recommended enhancing accounting practices and aligning them with the standards of the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB).
