A master's thesis at the College of Education for Humanities at the University of Basra examined Fakhr al-Din al-Razi (d. 606 AH) in the studies of modern linguists. The thesis, presented by student Zainab Karim Hamid, aimed to examine, describe, and analyze the studies of the modern scholars, clarifying linguistic issues based on linguistic levels. This study reflected the increasing interest of linguistic researchers in the study of the linguistic imam known as Fakhr al-Din al-Razi (d. 606 AH). Al-Razi received attention unparalleled by any scholar before or since him, to the point that a large number of books, studies, and research were written about him and his works, particularly his "Great Commentary." What was reported, recorded, and researched about him was presented to this day. The content of these studies formed the cornerstone of the thesis, and the nature of the thesis required that it be divided according to linguistic levels (phonetics, morphology, syntax, and semantics), in addition to linguistic topics. The multiplicity of linguistic topics studied by modern scholars regarding al-Razi is due to the scholarly standing this scholar enjoyed in his time and the embodiment of his linguistic capabilities in his works. The message included, through collecting and statistically examining the study sample, that the studies conducted by modern linguists on Al-Razi, especially grammatical studies, have the upper hand more than other linguistic levels such as phonetics, morphology, and semantics, in addition to linguistics. Likewise, if we make a comparison between the chapters of the research, especially between the linguistic chapter and the three chapters of phonetics with morphology, grammar, and semantics, we find that the applied matter has prevailed over the nature of the studies at the phonetic, morphological, grammatical, and semantic levels. With the linguistic chapter, we note the scarcity of applications studied by researchers on Al-Razi. If this indicates anything, it indicates the modernity of linguistic attempts and the beginning of their efforts to establish terminology and linguistic concepts with Al-Razi as a first stage that expresses the authentication of ancient scholars such as Al-Razi
