The College of Science at the University of Basrah organized a final seminar on (Using Bioinformatics Applications in Identifying Genetic Mutations and Detecting Gene Expression Levels) for the postgraduate student (PhD/ Hala Fadel Hassan). The study aims to shed light on the most important modern practical applications of bioinformatics in the field of biotechnology, analyzing nitrogenous base sequences and predicting the determination of gene expression levels. The seminar included highlighting the doctoral research project, which is the first of its kind in Basrah province and Iraq, by referring to the mechanism of applying one of the genetic algorithm programs used in biotechnology to identify changes in DNA and determine the level of gene expression in the field of bioinformatics.
