The Continuing Education Center at the University of Basrah organized a lecture on learning design for Unit Two within the engineering specialization, as part of the updated teaching methods curriculum for the southern region.
The lecture, which is a component of the updated curriculum for teaching methods in the engineering field, aimed to highlight the essential requirements for designing a class session or an academic course.
Delivered by Dr. Oday Basheer Issa, the lecture included an introduction to learning design, an explanation of Bloom’s taxonomy and its levels, methods of formulating objectives and deriving them from different sources, as well as a discussion of various learning types such as acquisition, discussion, exercises, production, and collaboration. The session also introduced tools and websites for learning design and their applications, along with practical activities.
