The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basra held a lecture on educational design for the second unit.
The lecture, which is part of the fifth teaching methods course, the updated curriculum for the second unit within the educational specialization, aims to develop trainees' educational design skills.
The lecture, delivered by Dr. Zainab Faleh Salem, a lecturer in the College of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Basrah, included the fact that educational design models support the educational process, as they determine the methods used to teach educational content. One of the most widely used educational design models is the ADDIE model. This model has several advantages, including ease of use, the possibility of applying it to any type of education and training, saving time, effort, and money, and the possibility of modifying it. It is suitable for novice teachers and trainers.
It is a systematic process aimed at planning educational systems to operate with the highest degree of effectiveness and efficiency, facilitating learning and enabling learners to learn. It can be developed and adapted according to the required field of specialization.
