The Center for Continuing Education at the University of Basrah organized a lecture on instructional design as part of the second unit of the fifth Teaching Methods Course, focusing on agricultural and veterinary specializations.
This lecture, which forms part of the fifth Teaching Methods Course, aimed to enhance participants’ teaching competencies within the university learning environment and to equip them with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills related to instructional design, particularly through blended learning approaches.
The lecture, delivered by Dr. Alaa Tariq Abdulwahid, faculty member at the College of Veterinary Medicine, addressed the concept and steps of instructional design, its models and levels, as well as the principles and conditions for formulating behavioral objectives. It further discussed the classification of objectives, levels of the cognitive domain, the notion of blended learning, effective feedback, formative and summative assessments, in addition to the essential components of effective digital materials and instructional design tools.
