The Department of Ecology at the College of Science at the University of Basra organized a workshop entitled "Environmental Education in Schools."
The workshop aimed to raise environmental awareness among educational staff and highlight the impact of environmental behaviors on students and the school environment.
The workshop, delivered by Dr. Nayef Mohsen Aziz, a lecturer in the Department of Ecology, and attended by employees of the Basra Governorate Education Directorate, included a discussion of scientific methods for promoting the concepts of sustainability and environmental conservation within educational institutions.
The workshop recommended the importance of integrating environmental education principles into school activities, encouraging environmentally friendly student initiatives, and enhancing cooperation between academic and educational institutions to spread environmental culture in society.
