The Department of Ecology at the College of Science at the University of Basra organized a workshop on "Noise Pollution in the Educational Environment: Its Impact on the Health of Students and Teachers."
The workshop aimed to highlight the long-term effects of noise in the school environment and proposed solutions to reduce it.
The workshop, presented by Enaam Abdul-Amir Abdul-Hussein, a lecturer from the Department of Ecology, and attended by educational staff from the Basra Governorate Education Directorate, covered the sources of noise in the school environment and its relationship to physical illnesses that can affect students and teachers.
The workshop recommended clarifying the role of school administration and the actions teachers can take in the classroom to help provide a noise-free environment.
