The college of science at the University of Basrah organized a seminar on the sedimentary and paleontological study of the upper part of the tidal bodies in Ras Al-Bisha in southern Iraq.
The seminar, which was attended by researcher Zeinab Hassan Fazaa, aimed at determining the sedimentary texture, depositional and mineral environment, in addition to studying and classifying the most important life aggregates in the study area. The seminar included the presentation of methods of office, field and laboratory work, including granular volumetric analysis, metallographic analysis using X-ray diffraction, sorting fossils and diagnosing them microscopically.
