Dr. Hussein Nasser Khalaf Al-Salman, a faculty member at the College of Pharmacy, published a distinguished scientific research paper in the British journal "Scientific Reports," ranked within the global first quartile (Q1).
The research, titled: "Improving the performance of dye-sensitized solar cells using FeS–TiO2 nanoparticles as a photoanode," achieved an energy conversion efficiency of (6.46), significantly outperforming traditional solar materials.
This achievement adds to the college's record of rigorous scientific research, enhancing the international standing of the University of Basrah in specialized forums for renewable energy technologies and advanced nanomaterials science.
