A master's thesis at the College of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Basra analyzed ministerial exam questions for social studies for the sixth-grade literary stream in light of levels of cognitive depth.
The thesis, submitted by student Khansa Abdul Qader Hussein, aimed to analyze ministerial exam questions for history and geography for the sixth-grade literary stream. The aim was to reveal the extent to which they included levels of cognitive depth according to the Web classification, identify the type and level of thinking targeted by these questions, and whether they focused on lower or higher levels of thinking.
The thesis included an analysis of (48) examples of ministerial exam questions for the period extending from the academic year (2016-2017) to (2023-2024), relying on an analysis tool consisting of (31) items distributed across four levels of cognitive depth, and using the SPSS program for statistical data processing
