The Department of Life Sciences at the College of Science, University of Basrah, organized an extracurricular activity: a field visit to Al-Mowasat Private Hospital on Sunday, October 26, 2025. The delegation was headed by the esteemed faculty members: Prof. Dr. Adhraa Abdul-Amir, Prof. Dr. Sanaa, Asst. Prof. Dr. Iqbal, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Sundus Waleed, and included a group of third-year evening students.
The visit included a tour of the hematology and physiology laboratories, where students learned about the work processes and modern techniques used in blood analysis. They also gained practical experience in interacting with patients and enhanced their applied skills in the medical and physiological fields.
This activity reflects the Department of Life Sciences' commitment to bridging the gap between theoretical studies and practical application, and to developing students' scientific and field capabilities.
