The Center for Continuing Education at the University of Basrah inaugurated the seventh module of the fifth Teaching Methods Course, focusing on Total Quality Management (TQM) and SWOT Analysis, which addresses strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
The lecture, presented by Dr. Manaf Abdul Kareem Mohammed, Dr. Rafid Abdul Jabbar Mohammed, and Lecturer Marwa Mousa Atwan, discussed Deming’s Fourteen Principles for quality improvement, the adoption of modern management philosophies, and the importance of understanding learners’ thinking patterns.
Additionally, Dr. Rafid delivered a practical session on trainee performance evaluation, emphasizing the importance of instructors’ awareness of students’ cognitive styles and individual differences.
