The Women's Affairs Unit at the College of Pharmacy, in cooperation with the Basrah Health Directorate, organized an awareness seminar titled: "Early Awareness of Breast Cancer," in solidarity with the world (Pink October) campaign.
Unit head Rawnak Thamer stated that the event focused on the importance of early detection to increase cure rates. Dr. Raya Habib discussed risk factors and the necessity of mammograms, including a practical demonstration on performing self-examinations correctly.

The seminar emphasized intensifying awareness initiatives to promote a culture of health among women as a cornerstone for a healthy society, reflecting the college's vital role in supporting public health within Basrah Governorate.
