The Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the College of Pharmacy organized a specialized scientific seminar on "Cancer Disease," as part of a series of events aimed at raising student health awareness.
Dr. Karam Allah Shakir provided an in-depth explanation of cancer cell traits, abnormal growth, and the evasion of "Apoptosis." He detailed the differences between benign and malignant tumors, while evaluating the impact of genetics, environment, and psychology on disease progression.
