The College of Education for Humanities at the University of Basra achieved a new sporting accomplishment by winning the gold medal in the university's student powerlifting championship, which included teams representing various colleges within the university.
This achievement came after the outstanding performance of student Ali Abdul-Amir Abdul-Sheikh from the Guidance Department, who won first place in the 66 kg weight class, and student Zain Al-Abidin Abdullah Mohammed from the Geography Department, who secured third place in the 95 kg weight class.
The championship witnessed fierce competition and high levels of skill, in an atmosphere designed to cultivate a spirit of athletic challenge and encourage students to engage in physical activity
