A master’s dissertation was discussed in the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Basrah on the occurrence of biofilms and other molecular aspects of Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae isolated from raw cow’s milk and humans by the postgraduate student, Mr. Ali Abed Kadhim.
The dissertation reviewed germs and their ability to produce biofilms and some other virulence genes and their role in antibiotic resistance to be used later in other experiments to enhance public health and disease resistance.
The dissertation demonstrated isolating of E. Coli and K.pneumoniae from cow and human milk, their diagnosis at the molecular level and their ability to form biofilms, as well as some other virulence genes were identified, besides some pathological isolates and their comparison with other non-pathological isolates during the work of phylogenetic groups.
