The Department of geoscience at the college of science at the University of Basrah organized a seminar on the study of morphometric parameters and geomorphological units of the HOR shuwaija drainage basins with the Iraqi-Iranian border and within the provinces of Diyala, Kut and the eastern part of Baghdad governorate. The seminar, which was attended by researcher Zeinab Adnan, aimed to study the morphometric characteristics of the area in addition to the geomorphological units affecting the drainage basins of Hor shuwaija. The seminar included the presentation of the office work, which includes three stages, namely, reviewing the sources and collecting the necessary geological information about, then projecting the data of the digital elevation model (DEM) with a grid spacing (30 meters) for the area, and then processing it to extract the data required for the laws of morphometric indicators, after which the results are converted into special forms showing the spatial variation in the distribution of indicators in each basin
