The College of Education for Humanities Organizes a Welcome Seminar for First-Year Students
The Department of Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance at the College of Education for Humanities, University of Basra, organized a welcome seminar for first-year students entitled "University Life: A Journey Towards the Future, A First Step Towards Becoming a Conscious and Responsible Student."
The seminar aimed to enhance students' awareness, responsibility, and discipline, and to help them adapt to the new university environment.
The seminar, presented by Dr. Maida Mardan, Head of the Department, Dr. Murtadha Abdullah, and Instructor Banin Siwan Al-Halfi, covered several topics, including a comprehensive explanation of the annual-semester system, student evaluation mechanisms, course distribution, the importance of adhering to university rules and regulations, the need for consistent attendance, avoiding procrastination, and maintaining academic integrity and appropriate conduct for university students. The seminar witnessed positive student interaction and concluded with messages of support and encouragement, affirming the department's confidence in their ability to achieve success and excellence.
