The Department of Ecology at the College of Science, University of Basra, organized a seminar on ambient air pollution in oil fields. The seminar, presented by Master's student Abdullah Saad Jalil, aimed to assess ambient air quality in the oil fields of Basra Governorate and to establish a database on air pollution.
The seminar addressed internationally used methods for monitoring ambient air quality, types of potential pollutants, and how to measure them.
The seminar also discussed modern technologies for continuous air quality monitoring.
