On Sunday, December 7, 2025, the Department of Information and Knowledge Technologies at the College of Arts, University of Basrah, held two panel discussions in the presence of the department’s professors.
The first panel discussion, entitled "The Enhanced Book," was opened and presented by lecturer Ali Muhair. It addressed the concept of the enhanced book and its role in improving the learning environment through the integration of multimedia. The second panel discussion was titled “Scientific Communication: Communication or Interaction?” and was presented by Assist.lect Ikhlas Abdul Amir. It reviewed the difference between scientific communication and interaction and their impact on spreading knowledge.
The department rapporteur, Instructor Tariq Taha Aboud, emphasized the importance of these events in raising student awareness and encouraging them to keep up with scientific developments. Professor Ali Abdul Samad explained that the panel discussions contribute to strengthening academic research within the department. Assistant lecturer Mohammed Saleh highlighted the necessity of linking student research to current topics and developing their research skills.
