The College of Science at the University of Basra organized an awareness campaign entitled "Promoting Mental Health in the University Environment: A Fundamental Pillar for Achieving Academic Success." The campaign was held in Biology Department on Monday, December 1, 2025. The campaign aimed to deliver an awareness lecture, display a large awareness poster and informational stickers, and distribute certificates of appreciation and gifts to the top three students in the Department of Life Sciences for the first, second, and third years of the 2024-2025 academic year, for first and second semesters. A total of 11 outstanding students were recognized, with the goal of strengthening the relationship between professors and students.
The campaign focused on presenting some students to their success stories, from their real-life experiences and how emerged stronger, and with greater determination. Additionally, a number of students distributed stickers containing positive phrases to boost enthusiasm and activity among their peers. A collection of success stories from inspiring international figures was also presented to instill a spirit of challenge in facing difficulties. The students passed through it. During the ceremony, juices and sweets were also distributed, and decorations and balloons were hung to create an atmosphere of joy and happiness.
