The Polymer Research Center at the University of Basra held a workshop on the anisotropic physical properties of crystals, presented by Dr. Harith Abdul-Razzaq Hassan. The workshop addressed the difficulty in defining the nature of crystals and classifying them based on their phase transitions, the training methods used between crystal phases, and the variation in the crystal's amorphous form, which affects the nonlinearity of the physical properties of the crystal phases. It also covered methods for diagnosing the multi-phase crystal structure based on the crystal's morphological structure. Finally, the workshop discussed the long-standing interest in crystalline (LC) materials due to their nonlinearity and rapid response to visual stimuli. These materials have been widely used in digital physical processing systems, including LCD displays.
