A master's thesis at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Basra discussed "the use of technology in contemporary global shaping".
The message presented by researcher Tabarak Helmy Shaalan aims to shed light on high technology and its impact on the plastic arts.
The message included the topic of high-tech and digitization, which since the end of the last century has dominated the global scene in various ways, resulting in the emergence of new artistic means and media that contributed to the fading between the material and metaphysical world.
The thesis concluded that technological media have often replaced traditional arts and have moved the show to wider and more comprehensive horizons than before.
