The College of Education for Humanities Organizes a Symposium on Basra's Heritage in Human Thought
The Department of Quranic Sciences at the College of Education for Humanities, University of Basra, in cooperation with the Basra Heritage Center of the Holy Abbasid Shrine, organized a symposium entitled "The Impact of Basra's Heritage on Human Thought." The symposium was attended by the Dean of the College, Dr. Wissam Jumaa Lafteh, along with a number of professors and students.
The symposium aimed to highlight the scientific and cultural heritage of Basra and demonstrate its influential contributions to shaping human thought throughout history.
The symposium, presented by several professors from the department, included discussions on the scientific and intellectual output of Basra's scholars and their role in enriching Islamic and human civilization. Emphasis was placed on the importance of preserving this heritage, given Basra's leading scientific position in various fields of knowledge, which contributes to strengthening the cultural and intellectual identity of the community.
