The College of Education for Humanities Organizes a Scientific Symposium on the Occasion of Arabic Language Day
The Arabic Language Department at the College of Education for Humanities, University of Basra, organized a scientific symposium on the occasion of World Arabic Language Day, under the theme "Arabic: The Radiance of Thought and the Renewal of Creativity." The symposium was attended by a number of faculty members and students from the college.
The symposium aimed to highlight the civilizational role of the Arabic language as a language of science, thought, and creativity, and as a fundamental means of preserving cultural identity.
The symposium, presented by a group of faculty members from the department, included scholarly presentations, intellectual discussions, and poetry readings that addressed the authenticity of the Arabic language, the richness of its linguistic and literary heritage, its continued effectiveness in absorbing various sciences, and its ability to keep pace with modern digital developments.
Participants also discussed the most prominent challenges facing the Arabic language in the present era and ways to promote it in the fields of education and scientific research.
