The Department of Clinical Pharmacy at the University of Basrah organized a scientific seminar titled:
"A New and Modern Use of Insulin."
Lecturer Sara Talal Omran highlighted the latest 2025 studies regarding the medical feasibility of using Insulin to treat Keloid scars. The clinical study compared the efficacy of local insulin injection versus traditional steroids and Botox.

The high efficacy of intralesional insulin injection in reducing keloid protrusion and thickness was scientifically proven, effectively smoothing the scar to match normal skin. This discovery marks a significant pharmaceutical achievement for managing intractable skin conditions.
