The Arabic Language Department at the College of Education for Humanities, University of Basra, organized a specialized workshop on research sources for graduation theses, attended by students from the department.
The workshop aimed to develop students' research skills, enhance the quality of their academic output, and guide them toward the correct use and documentation of sources according to established academic methods.
The workshop, presented by instructor Rabab Adel Taher, covered several topics, including an introduction to the types of research sources, research methods in university libraries, and the principles of selecting appropriate sources for a research topic. It also highlighted common errors in source use and how to avoid them.
The workshop emphasized the importance of adhering to sound scientific methodology in utilizing sources, which contributes to the production of graduation theses characterized by accuracy and objectivity and meeting the requirements of academic research.
