The Date Palm Research Center and the College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah organized a joint visit to the Elderly Care Home in the governorate, in cooperation with the Sana Basrah Humanitarian Foundation, as part of efforts to enhance social integration and reinforce the humanitarian role of academic institutions.
During the visit, the delegation reviewed the conditions of the residents and their humanitarian needs, and provided moral support, contributing to strengthening the spirit of social solidarity and care for the elderly.
This visit comes within the framework of the University of Basrah and its research centers’ commitment to fulfilling their community role and activating partnerships with civil society organizations, reflecting their dedication to humanitarian and ethical responsibilities toward this group, as well as supporting initiatives that serve vulnerable segments of society.
