Dr. Zainab J.S, a faculty member at the Polymer Research Center/University of Basra, participated as a member of the committee that examined the doctoral dissertation of student Faraq Arif Ubaid, entitled "Preparation and Study of Novel Copolymers and Their Applications." The researcher prepared a group of monomers and copolymers, which were characterized using various techniques, including FTIR C.H.N and H1-NMR, providing precise information about their structural composition. The properties of all the prepared materials were evaluated by calculating their critical micelle concentrations (CMCs) using electrical conductivity to understand their aggregation behavior in aqueous media. The prepared materials demonstrated their suitability for use as emulsifying agents or surfactants. The scientific discussion took place in a rigorous academic atmosphere, enriched by scientific observations that contributed to enhancing the research's scientific value. At the conclusion of the discussion, the committee decided to accept the thesis after making the required modifications, wishing the student continued success in his academic career.
