The Department of Quranic Sciences and Islamic Education at the College of Education for Humanities, University of Basra, organized an online academic seminar entitled "The Prophetic Discourse in Shaping the Epistemological Standard of Islamic Thought." The seminar aimed to highlight the Prophetic discourse and its pivotal role in guiding religious behavior and establishing the ethical values and epistemological foundations upon which Islamic thought is based. Presented by lecturers Hanan Majeed Abdul-Aboud, Amjad Abdul-Karim, and Ruqaya Muhammad Amin, the seminar addressed the role of religious discourse in establishing a comprehensive epistemological framework that governs the course of Islamic thought, defines the criteria for discerning truth, and contributes to building a sound understanding of the concepts of authority and leadership. The seminar emphasized the importance of returning to the Prophetic discourse as an authentic intellectual and educational reference point, capable of confronting contemporary intellectual challenges and promoting a balanced understanding of religion in accordance with its humanistic and civilizational objectives
