The Department of Quranic Sciences at the College of Education for Humanities, University of Basra, organized a cultural festival to celebrate the auspicious births of the Imams (peace be upon them). The festival was attended by the Dean of the College, Dr. Wissam Jumaa Lafteh, and a number of faculty members and students.
The festival aimed to commemorate religious occasions, enhance students' cultural and intellectual awareness, and reinforce authentic Islamic values derived from the lives of the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them).
The festival, whose sessions were presented by Sheikh Habib Al-Kadhemi, addressed the importance of the concept of anticipation in Islamic thought, explaining its doctrinal and educational dimensions. It emphasized the necessity of preparing the intellectual, moral, and social conditions for the reappearance of Imam Al-Mahdi (may God hasten his reappearance), and the individual and societal awareness and responsibility this requires.
The festival also included religious and cultural speeches that highlighted the lives of the Imams (peace be upon them) and their humanitarian and reformist stances
