Master's Thesis | Pharmacy College Media:
The College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah discussed a Master's thesis titled: "Ameliorative Effect of Alpha Lipoic Acid and Melatonin and their Synergy in Liver Injury Induced by Paracetamol."
The study, presented by student Huda Iyad Haider, investigated hepatotoxicity induced by paracetamol, focusing on oxidative stress mechanisms. The research evaluated the protective synergy of Alpha Lipoic Acid and Melatonin, comparing them with the clinical standard N-acetylcysteine (NAC).

This research reinforces the role of targeted antioxidant therapy as a promising preventive strategy for drug-induced liver injury. It paves the way for utilizing bioactive compounds as adjuvant therapies to mitigate complications associated with high-dose pharmaceutical ingestion.
