Master's Thesis | Pharmacy College Media:
The College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah discussed a Master's thesis titled: "Synthesis and Characterization of Coumarin-β-thiocarbonyl derivatives and Evaluation of their Biological properties."
The study, presented by student Ali Muhammad Abdul Hussein, involved preparing eleven new coumarin derivatives to evaluate their effectiveness as antioxidants, anti-breast cancer agents, and antibiotics.

Results indicated that coumarin-β-thiocarbonyl derivatives surpassed standard ascorbic acid in antioxidant activity and free radical scavenging. This research paves the way for developing targeted therapies against cancer and resistant bacterial infections.
