The Arabic Language Department at the College of Education for Humanities, University of Basra, in cooperation with the college's Guidance Unit, organized a training workshop on practical steps toward pioneering educational leadership as part of Leadership Week activities for fourth-year students.
The workshop aimed to enhance students' awareness of the concept of pioneering educational leadership, develop the character of a teacher capable of managing the classroom effectively and competently, and prepare them to transition from theory to practical application.
The workshop, presented by Dr. Murtadha Abbas Falih, Head of the Observation and Application Committee, highlighted the importance of practical application and how to utilize it to activate what students have learned during their university studies. It emphasized the optimal use of the experiences, situations, information, concepts, and educational knowledge they have acquired, contributing to the development of their classroom management skills.
The presenter stressed that the conscious application of educational concepts strengthens students' willpower and motivation, propelling them toward ethical and academic leadership with a pedagogical spirit
