The College of Education for Humanities Organizes a Scientific Seminar on Psychological Emptiness and Identity Crisis
The Department of Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance at the College of Education for Humanities, University of Basra, in cooperation with the college's Guidance Unit, organized a scientific seminar on psychological emptiness and identity crisis and their role in susceptibility to extremism. The seminar was attended by the Dean's Assistant for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Mustafa Jawad Abbas, as well as faculty members and students.
The seminar aimed to highlight the dangers of psychological emptiness and identity crisis and their impact on extremism, as well as preventative guidance programs to address intellectual and behavioral challenges.
The seminar, presented by the head of the Guidance Unit, Dr. Zahraa Saleh Al-Saidi, and Dr. Nada Razzaq Fadhil, addressed early psychological indicators, the role of the family and educational and guidance institutions in preventing them, and the importance of fostering a positive identity, developing critical thinking, and supporting mental health as a first line of defense against extremism.
