The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah delivered a lecture on Quality of Education – the Seventh Unit of the Educational Specialization, as part of the Teaching Methods Course.
The lecture aimed to introduce trainees to the concepts of quality in higher education.
During the session, presented by Dr. Zainab Falih Salem, Total Quality in higher education was defined as the set of characteristics and standards that should be present in all elements of the educational process—whether related to inputs, processes, or outputs—in order to meet the needs and requirements of society, as well as the aspirations and needs of learners.
This is achieved through the effective utilization of all human and material resources within the educational institution.
