A Master's Thesis at the University of Basrah Explores the Impact of Knowledge-Oriented Culture on Sustainable Development

A master's thesis at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Basrah, explored the possibility of clarifying the nature of the relationship between knowledge-oriented culture and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), mediated by green knowledge management processes, using ANTON OIL as a case study.

The thesis, submitted by student Shrouq Omran Sayhood, aimed to explore the role of knowledge-oriented culture in achieving the SDGs through the mediation of green knowledge management processes, within the context of the Iraqi oil sector.

The thesis employed a mixed-methods approach (qualitative and quantitative). Interviews were conducted and qualitative data was analyzed using MAXQDA software, while quantitative data was analyzed using SPSS and SmartPLS software. The letter recommended the adoption of an institutional strategy that promotes a knowledge-oriented culture that supports creativity and collaborative work, and the development of a clear, organized structure for green knowledge management processes that includes effective mechanisms for generation, sharing, storage, and application, in addition to integrating sustainability goals into operational plans and policies, and enhancing human capabilities through training and environmental awareness.
