The Department of History at the College of Education for Humanities, University of Basra, organized a cultural forum entitled "The Sanctuary of Thought and the Testimony of Justice" to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him). The forum was attended by a number of faculty members and students from the department.
The forum aimed to introduce the life of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) and highlight his intellectual and humanitarian stature, as well as to enhance students' awareness of the values he embodied in justice, wisdom, and reform, and their role in building a society based on ethical and humanitarian principles.
The forum, which was organized by Dr. Shukri Nasser Abdul Hassan, with the participation of a group of students from the department, included cultural presentations and discussions that addressed the intellectual and humanitarian aspects of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib's life (peace be upon him). It emphasized the importance of drawing inspiration from the values of justice and intellect in academic and social life
