The College of Education for Humanities Organizes a Quranic Gathering to Commemorate the Martyrs
The Department of Quranic Sciences and Islamic Education at the College of Education for Humanities, University of Basra, in cooperation with the Basra Quranic Union, organized a Quranic gathering attended by the Dean of the College, Dr. Wissam Jumaa Lafteh, and a number of faculty members and students.
The gathering aimed to commemorate the martyrs who defended holy sites and homelands, and to remember their sacrifices in protecting values and principles.
The gathering included beautiful Quranic recitations by a group of reciters, creating a moving spiritual atmosphere. A speech was also delivered by the Head of the Department of Quranic Sciences and Islamic Education, Dr. Ali Hamza Al-Asadi, who emphasized the importance of commemorating these occasions due to their national and religious significance, and their role in instilling the values of sacrifice and belonging in future generations.
