The Arabic Language Department at the College of Education for Humanities, in cooperation with the Student Activities Division, organized a cultural oratory competition for college students.
The competition aimed to develop students' public speaking and rhetorical skills, boost their self-confidence, and revive Arab and Islamic heritage through exposure to eloquent texts.
The competition, supervised by Dr. Hussein Mazhar Al-Saad, Dr. Murtadha Abbas, Dr. Hisham Younis, and Dr. Ahmed Muwaffaq, involved reciting selections from the sermons of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him) from the book "Nahj al-Balagha," chosen for their profound intellectual and rhetorical content.
The competition showcased an outstanding level of performance among the participants, demonstrating their abilities and aptitude in public speaking. It also reflected the college's commitment to supporting activities that contribute to shaping the character of university students and nurturing promising and capable students who can excel and contribute in various fields
