The Polymer Research Center at the University of Basrah hosted a workshop on flexible dielectric actuators, presented by Dr. Aqeel M.Ali and Dr. Nazem A.Abdullah. Flexible dielectric actuators are a type of electroactive polymer (artificial muscle) that transforms into complex shapes and moves when an electrical voltage is applied. A flexible rubber is enclosed between electrodes, making them ideal for soft robots, prosthetic limbs, and motors.
