The Arabic and English Language Departments at the College of Education for Humanities, University of Basra, organized a tree-planting campaign in the college's gardens and surrounding areas as part of the University Day celebrations.
The campaign aimed to expand green spaces, contribute to improving the university environment, enhance the college's aesthetic appeal, and provide a healthy and attractive learning environment for students.
The campaign, supervised by Dr. Khulood Ahmed Shehab and instructor Rabab Adel Taher, involved planting various types of fruit and ornamental trees in different areas of the college's gardens and surrounding areas, with the participation of several faculty members and students.
This initiative is part of a series of activities that the college is keen to implement in support of environmental sustainability and to instill a culture of volunteerism and environmental conservation among students
