The Geography Department at the College of Education for Humanities, University of Basra, organized a scientific seminar on the repercussions of the war in the Middle East on the political, economic, and security situation in Iraq. The seminar was attended by a number of faculty members and students.
The seminar aimed to analyze the political, economic, and security impacts of regional conflicts, particularly the repercussions of international tensions and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz on Iraq and the region.
The seminar, presented by several faculty members from the department, addressed geopolitical shifts from escalation to negotiation, the impact of regional conflict on Iraqi society, and the reshaping of Iraq's geopolitical position in light of current changes. It also examined the political and economic effects following the 40-day war between the Islamic Republic of Iran on one side and the United States and Israel on the other
