A book on rhetorical dialogues by a faculty member at the University of Basra has been published.
The book, titled "Rhetorical Dialogues," is authored by Dr. Murtadha Abbas Falih, a faculty member at the College of Education for Humanities at the University of Basra.
The book comprises over 297 pages divided into eleven sections, each consisting of eleven dialogues.
Published by Dar Al-Warsha Cultural Center in Iraq, the book explores the interpretation of rhetorical texts through dialogue and discussion, grounded in epistemological and intellectual principles. It examines the origins of Qur'anic and Arabic rhetoric, the authenticity of its terminology, the attention and development of this terminology by modern scholars, and its study by Orientalists. Furthermore, it discusses the terminology of interpretation and rhetorical reasoning, among other terms that have been of interest to scholars, both classical and modern, including Orientalists.
It is worth noting that several faculty members contributed to the publication of this book.
