The Arabic Language Department at the College of Education for Humanities, University of Basra, organized a seminar entitled "Ba'athist Crimes: A Diabolical Approach," in cooperation with the Guidance Unit and the Continuing Education Unit. The seminar was attended by a number of faculty members and students.
The seminar aimed to shed light on the nature of the crimes committed by the Ba'ath Party during its rule and to explain their negative impact on Iraqi society. It also sought to raise student awareness of the dangers of deviant ideologies based on violence and exclusion.
The seminar, presented by several faculty members, outlined the characteristics of Ba'athist ideology, including its authoritarian tendencies and criminal approach, which affected all aspects of life in Iraq. The speakers emphasized that this ideology represents abnormal behavior that contradicts human and moral values.
The seminar stressed the importance of remembering these painful experiences in order to solidify the principles of justice, reject extremism, and work towards building a society based on peaceful coexistence and respect for human rights
